First stop would be to check your superannuation fund.  You may very well have default IP cover without realising it.  Then if you don;t have default cover you may be able to get this cover with minimal fuss.

I talked to my ex boss from my ex work (hot tip kiddies don't offer to throw a far more senior exec out a window when you are pissed over your lack of payrise) and in general if you have some sort of IP or life insurance before you start jumping you have to notify your insurer of the fact but they can't cancel your policy.  If you take up insurance after you start jumping then the insurer will generally exclude it.

Once again if anyone finds policies I'm happy to take a look at them for you

Do you have a superfund? No point paying for something if your already covered elsewhere.

Insuranet are the broker, I dealt through Ian.

I have just sent him an email asking if they still broker the product and details on it - Which I will post a reply when I get it.

The product he brokers is from Sportscover. Here is the link to the product. http://sportscover.com/accident.asp

As I said, I have actually used this cover last year when I broke my leg on a jump - Had to supply the APF incident reports, doctors stuff and all the usual bits. I had loss of income paid and also incidental medicals and medical related travel covered too.

Ok Ian from Insuranet just got back to me - They are still doing the cover.
Below is a copy of the email he sent me back (And also Ian's contact details!).
If anyone wants copies of the documents he sent me - PM me your email addy!

Thanks Matt,

Yes, the program is now implemented throughout the APF with two separate policies running.

Student Members can obtain cover under their Pink Card application.

Annual members can apply individually in line with their APF membership.

I have attached a copy of the proposal form and policy PDS for annual members for info required. Note any applications will be current up to 30/6/12 and will require renewal after this date. Cover for the policy is established in line with annual membership renewals.

Hope all is well with you, assume the wings will be back on soon now?

If at any stage you have any questions or require any additional information, please don’t hesitate to give me a call.

Kind Regards

Ian Chamberlain
