Reported from people who witnessed the incident, sounds like another vigil misfire resulting in injuries.
Do we have to wait until someone is killed before anything gets done about these shitty units.

"Normal turn onto final with reserve deploying in the middle of a non-hp turn. Canopies did not entangle but the reserve effectively served as an anchor, pulling the jumper out of his turn and sending down and backwards into the closed main door of a hangar according to an eyewitness. Jumper suffered compressed vertebrae and a cracked sacrum.
I personally did not see the rig post-accident to verify cutter firing, but a rigger who did listed it in the non-fatal incident report as an AAD malfunction. Unit was turned on on the ground and jumper opened at a normal altitude.
Everything at this time is speculation, but this appears to either an AAD malfunction or possibly the AAD getting tricked by some weird pressure differential around the hangar.
In the past, I have done test jumps with Neptunes intentionally placing them in differing orientations to get anomoulous reading due to pressure differences. I am attempting to get ahold of the jumper's Neptune to see if the logs inidcate any similar anomolous readings which should allow us to decide if the second theory is a real possibility.

Because the story will never come out.
Vigil will (again) claim it was working as designed, or that it is a one-off (like the other failures, including the missing cutter), or that it is only a very small chance of happening, and so we can just ignore it.
No-one will pursue the matter, because it seems that everyone who could do something has too much financial interest in keeping this piece of crap in the air.
Yes, it will require that someone dies before any action is taken (but I am willing to bet that even that will not be enough).
Let's hope it is just the poor fool on that rig, not the entire aircraft load as well.
Vigils are shit.
Period.

Sadist. I assume that this video that you have just posted has some kind of relevance to the Vigil Bashing thread this has become? Do you actually have any facts or is the title of the video enough evidence for you to make an informed opinion? I saw a video of a "Real Life" Alien on YouTube recently, should I assume this is real?
You all shit me!
The same friggin Ranters who claimed that Argus was singled out several months ago are now openly claiming that Vigil is the worst product on the market! Do any of you have a real concerns that you have gained from any real life experience with this product? Or have you just decided you don’t like this company and product so therefore have all become instant experts?
Honestly Sadist, you surprise me the most. I expect this kind of consistent ranting from Tin Foil Hat wearing Conspiracy Theorists like G7 but have you any real reason based on your extensive experience in this sport to have such an obvious vendetta against this product?
Move on with your lives!! Don’t like Vigil? Don’t fucking jump it! and shut the fuck up about it! Don’t like it enough to even be on loads with Skydivers who use one? Fine,.... Your loss.
Oh and Merry Xmas and a happy new year to all. May your AAD’s all be banned, not banned, fire, not fire, whatever. Sick of hearing about it from people who I wouldn’t rely on for an informed opinion anyway….

As far as the vigil being shit. They are continually mis firing on the air and on the ground and all that come from the manufacturer is that it fired within it's peramiters. I'm sorry but a rig sitting on the ground is not in the firing peramiter. There is obviously a flaw in the product that needs rectifying before another one miss fires and it kills someone.

Just to re-cap: my opinion has been briefly and openly stated. Don't recall that I've ever claimed to have extensive experience, will claim to follow the misadventures of AAD happenings locally and as posted elsewhere in the world. Not going to bore anyone with a rehash of that.
The rest is quoted from the original thread, DZ DOT com, Matt Hill asked for information to be spotted for non forum members.
Perhaps you shouldn't read the thread if you don't like the tone or content, or can predict where this is heading? Forums are forums, get over it.
Now, how about you pick up your phone next time I call so we can arrange some WS time?!!?
