Didnt manage to make a load on the skyvan today, missed it by a few hours but did polish the Brel7 consolidation jump with some monopoles and 180 turns then a bit of a track, looks like it starts getting real from here on in with brel 8 on, nice after noon at Picton, need to work on slow falling, not sure how accurate the altitrack speed is today gave me a max speed of 160mph

I was out this morning strife. Got there at 0830, did an AFF Stage 2 and a 2-way fun jump with Anthony who'd come from Moruya for some fun jumps.

Sorry I missed you.

Well, my plans to finish the AFF hit a bit of a snag. Got a new job at the start of the year but the money wasn't great and I ended up working every Saturday as well as spending a bunch of my own cash on tolls and petrol so after I completed AFF stage 4 I had to stop.

Been hunting around for a new job and have just landed an offer for a job that pays twice as much with no Saturdays and no driving. Add to this a girlfriend who told me she'd leave me if I gave up my hobbies and became boring and jumping is back on the agenda!

Now it's been a couple of months since I did my 4 jumps so I'm assuming i'll have to go right back tot he start but that's fine with me.

Give it a few weeks and I reckon i'll be back in the air WOOHOOO!

You will probably find that you just need to go back about 1 stage. (Don't hold me to that.) It will depend on how long since your jumps, how spread out they were at the time, and how you performed.

Some CIs will ask you to resit the course, but that should not cost you anything (maybe sling the Instructor a carton?), just gives you a really good refresh on all you need, with lots of re-runs of Emergency Procedures.

Yeah I figured first stop would be a phone call with the CI and see what they say. At the end of the day the worst thing that can happen is i get a dose of the fundamentals and I don;t think thats ever hurt anyone!

Good stuff Don,

I think the addiction is starting to kick in, i was supposed to be in Melbourne today for a week for work but checked out BOM and put it off for another week. Got jumps in Thur, Fri Sat and did 4 jumps today and polished off brel 8.

Got the missus a tandem voucher for Mothers Day. I figure its a win win, if she jumps she will get it more than she does now (she has been ace) and if she doesnt jump then they are extra jump credits for myself. :sarcasm:
