I had 2 Icon containers for 4yrs(did around 800 jumps per rig in that time). I was quite happy with them in general(price, options, comfort, quality 1 piece metal hook knife standard, internal riser covers, pin security, build) although I did have problems with the plastic stiffners in the riser tuck tabs cracking. Both on 1 rig, which I got replacement stiffners for and 1 cracked again. The other rig had 1 crack which I hadn't got fixed when I sold it. The rigs were made for the main(could have upsized or downsized the main in the container) so wasn't a tight fit. I do jump in some cold weather for a few mths of the year(up to -25C) which may have contributed, although I have never had this problem with any previous containers at the same DZ. Maybe I just got a bad batch of stiffners? Apart from that I was happy with the rigs.

If you can buy a eg Jav J3K container or similar sized that fits you (only using the JAV as an example) you could cram a 190 in there then over many moons downsize to a 150 with the same container. But speak to your CI and DZSO about it. I spent ages looking for second hand 190 and had no luck so ended up going new. The ones I found were either near new and therfor asking very close to new prices or that clapped out that my DZSO said no. Good luck in your search and happy jumping! I might sell you my main in about 6 months...

No one should be CRAMMING anything in a Rig. they are sized for a reason.

True. My choice of words was incorrect. It fits nicely when I pack it properly, but Im always trying to get on the next load so I trash pack it so I can. I dont skimp on line tensions or flaking it but getting it into the bag... It opens alot nicer than the student rigs used to plus I can use this container / reserve for my next 2000 jumps (not too keen on rushing with downsizing (its all in the bedroom not your canopy size :P))sorry for the miss understanding... Im just an aussie that doesn't like to beat around the bush, I just tell it how it is... It works for me unless I pitch midway through a terminal backflip then it just spanks hard and gives me line twists which would really happen with any setup...
