I agree Eloy will be cheaper per hour. EVERYTHING is cheaper in the US. But I don't have to lose 2 weeks of work to travel to Penrith ;-)

Well the picture in the article shows a recirculating type, generating "150 miles" of air...

Still, like most others, I believe it when I see it, further, It would probably be cheaper to go to Eloy for a camp than what it would be to go to Penrith.

I mean $750/hr, ~$60/night accommodation cant really go wrong there!  But a a few hours door to door vs a whole day plus not having to take a few weeks leave doesnt hurt...  Weigh up the options once they present themselves...

Way to support local skydivers trying to bring a tunnel to OZ :icon_rolleyes:

I support ME before I support anyone else financially.

Besides, who says this is a skydiving operation?

Just think though, say it costs double....... $1500 an hour...... You can go and whack out an hour a month, whatever, without having to take leave from work etc.

It may cost a bit more, but at least you can use your leave to go to boogies then!!!!!

A bit more cost is double. It only costs about $2000 to get to Eloy. If you plan on 8 - 10 hrs, then it sounds shit loads cheaper. (Apart from the fact that you might have low class instuctors). I've done most of my tunnel time with Arizona Airspeed, but during a recent holiday to Singapore, had a go in their tunnel. Was very dissapointed in the lack of skill of their "instructors". I ended up doing solo drill jumps.

Kris Reynolds and Kurmit are at Singapore? they're awesome? Kris was on the 108way HD and helped write the 8-way VFS dive pool

Think you might find Geoff prefers his flat flying to sit or head down, for now at least ;)
I'm with Geoff though, coaches make a massive difference to your time, will be interesting to see who gets the slots at Penrith.

Nah, some of us old schoolers still around.

Fingers crossed for good flat and freefly coaches if it gets built. I'll be there.

Don't know about coaching but I'll put my hand up to be the guy that cleans the blood, sweat and tears off the mesh if there is such a position!!
Yeah baby... free tunnel time :sarcasm:
